처리방침
짧게 말하면, 맥글은 여러분의 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다. 여는 문서는 내 맥 안에서만 처리되고, 어디에도 올라가지 않아요.
1. 수집하는 개인정보
맥글은 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.
- 회원 가입이나 로그인이 없습니다.
- 사용 통계, 분석 도구, 광고, 추적 도구를 넣지 않았습니다.
- 오류가 나도 보고서를 자동으로 보내지 않습니다.
- 기기 식별자, 위치, 연락처, 사진 같은 정보에 접근하지 않습니다.
2. 문서는 내 맥 안에서만
맥글로 열고 고치고 저장하는 파일(.hwp, .hwpx, .docx, .pdf)은 모두 사용자의 맥 안에서 처리됩니다. 문서 내용을 서버로 올리거나 다른 곳으로 보내지 않습니다. 파일은 사용자가 직접 고른 위치에만 저장됩니다.
- Finder 미리 보기·썸네일·Spotlight: 맥글에 들어 있는 Finder 확장이 문서를 맥 안에서 읽어 미리 보기와 첫 쪽 그림을 만들고, Spotlight 검색용으로 본문 글자를 macOS에 넘깁니다. 이 색인은 macOS가 맥 안에 저장하며, 맥글은 그 내용을 어디로도 보내지 않습니다.
- 일괄 변환·단축어: 변환은 모두 맥 안에서 하고, 결과 파일은 사용자가 고른 위치(또는 단축어가 넘겨받는 곳)에만 생깁니다.
- 도장·서명: 만든 도장과 그린 서명은 그림 파일로 이 맥에만 보관되고 어디에도 올라가지 않습니다.
3. 양식 패널과 바로양식
왼쪽 양식 패널은 문서 양식 사이트 바로양식(baroyangsik.com)에서 양식을 가져옵니다. 이 기능을 쓸 때만 인터넷에 접속합니다.
- 패널에 보이는 양식의 미리 보기 그림을 baroyangsik.com에서 받아 옵니다. 받은 그림은 다시 받지 않도록 앱의 캐시 폴더에 저장됩니다.
- 양식을 고르면 앱 안의 웹 화면(WKWebView)이 해당 양식 페이지를 열어 문서 파일을 만들고, 그 파일을 편집 화면으로 엽니다.
- 이때 바로양식 서버는 일반 웹 접속과 같은 정보를 받을 수 있습니다. IP 주소, 접속 시각, 요청한 주소, 브라우저 정보(User-Agent)가 여기에 해당합니다. 맥글은 User-Agent 끝에
Mekul/<버전>을, 주소에app=mekul을 붙여 앱에서 온 요청임을 알립니다. - 이 정보는 바로양식 사이트의 개인정보 처리방침에 따라 다뤄집니다. 웹 화면은 일반 브라우저처럼 그 사이트의 쿠키와 캐시를 맥에 저장할 수 있습니다.
- 웹 화면은 baroyangsik.com이 아닌 곳으로 가는 요청(광고·분석 도구 등)을 막습니다. 그래서 양식 패널 안에서 제3자 광고나 추적 도구가 실행되지 않습니다.
- 사용자가 편집하고 있는 문서 내용은 바로양식으로 보내지 않습니다.
양식 패널을 쓰지 않으면 맥글은 인터넷에 접속하지 않습니다. 문서 열기, 편집, 저장, PDF 내보내기는 모두 오프라인에서 됩니다.
4. 제3자 제공과 위탁
수집하는 개인정보가 없으므로 제3자에게 제공하거나 처리를 맡기는 일도 없습니다.
5. 맥에 남는 정보와 지우는 방법
- 캐시: 양식 미리 보기 그림, 웹 화면의 쿠키·캐시, 최근 문서의 첫 쪽 그림이 캐시 폴더(
~/Library/Caches/kr.baroyangsik.mekul, App Store판은 앱 컨테이너 안)에 저장됩니다. - 설정 폴더(
~/Library/Application Support/Mekul, App Store판은 앱 컨테이너 안): 환경 설정, 최근 문서 목록, 빠른 교정 목록과 매크로, 자동 저장 사본, 도장·서명 보관함이 들어 있습니다. 최근 문서와 [그림 폴더 허용…]으로 허락한 폴더는 macOS 보안 북마크로 기억해 다음에도 다시 열 수 있게 합니다. - 모두 사용자의 맥에만 있고 어디로도 보내지 않습니다. 앱을 지우면 함께 지울 수 있고, 위 폴더를 직접 지워도 됩니다. 캐시를 지워도 문서에는 영향이 없습니다. 설정 폴더를 지우면 설정, 최근 문서 목록, 보관한 도장·서명도 함께 지워집니다.
6. 어린이의 개인정보
맥글은 누구의 개인정보도 수집하지 않으며, 만 14세 미만 아동의 정보도 마찬가지입니다.
7. 방침이 바뀌면
내용이 바뀌면 이 페이지에 새 시행일과 함께 알립니다. 정보를 수집하는 방향으로 바뀌는 경우에는 앱 업데이트 안내에도 적습니다.
8. 홈페이지의 출시 알림 신청
위 내용은 맥글 앱에 대한 것입니다. 이 홈페이지에서 출시 알림을 신청하면 그때만 다음 정보를 받습니다.
- 받는 정보: 이메일 주소, 신청 시각.
- 쓰는 곳: 맥글이 App Store에 나왔을 때 알림 메일을 한 번 보내는 데만 씁니다. 광고 메일을 보내지 않고, 다른 곳에 넘기지 않습니다.
- 보관: 출시 알림을 보낸 뒤 바로 지웁니다. 늦어도 신청일로부터 1년 안에 지웁니다.
- 취소: 아래 메일로 연락하시면 바로 지웁니다.
- 저장은 홈페이지를 운영하는 Cloudflare의 데이터베이스(D1)에 합니다.

Privacy Policy
In short: Mekul does not collect your personal data. Documents you open are processed on your Mac and are never uploaded.
1. Data we collect
None. There is no account or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no automatic crash reporting. The app does not access device identifiers, location, contacts or photos.
2. Your documents stay on your Mac
Files you open, edit and save (.hwp, .hwpx, .docx, .pdf) are processed entirely on your Mac. Their contents are never sent to a server. Files are saved only where you choose. The Finder extensions (Quick Look preview, thumbnails, Spotlight) read documents on your Mac; the Spotlight text index is kept by macOS on your Mac. Batch conversion and the Shortcuts action also run locally. Stamps and signatures you create are stored only on your Mac.
3. The Forms panel and baroyangsik.com
The Forms panel loads document templates from baroyangsik.com. This is the only feature that uses the internet.
- Preview images of the templates shown in the panel are downloaded from baroyangsik.com and cached in the app's cache folder.
- When you pick a template, an embedded web view (WKWebView) opens that template's page, generates the document file and opens it in the editor.
- Like any web request, this lets baroyangsik.com receive standard request information such as your IP address, the time of the request, the requested address and your user agent. Mekul appends
Mekul/<version>to the user agent andapp=mekulto the address so the site can tell the request came from the app. - That information is handled under baroyangsik.com's own privacy policy. As in a normal browser, the web view may store that site's cookies and cache on your Mac.
- The web view blocks every request that does not go to baroyangsik.com (ads, analytics and so on), so no third-party ad or tracking code runs inside the Forms panel.
- The contents of the documents you are editing are never sent to baroyangsik.com.
If you don't use the Forms panel, Mekul does not connect to the internet. Opening, editing, saving and exporting to PDF all work offline.
4. Sharing with third parties
Since we collect no personal data, we share none and use no processors.
5. Data on your Mac
The cache folder (~/Library/Caches/kr.baroyangsik.mekul, or inside the app container for the App Store version) holds template preview images, the web view's cookies and cache, and first-page images of recent documents. The settings folder (~/Library/Application Support/Mekul, or inside the app container) holds preferences, the recent documents list, quick-correct entries and macros, autosave copies, and your stamps and signatures; recent documents and folders you allowed with [그림 폴더 허용…] are remembered as macOS security-scoped bookmarks. All of this stays on your Mac. You can delete it by removing the app or deleting these folders. Deleting the cache does not affect your documents; deleting the settings folder also removes your settings, recent list and saved stamps.
6. Children
Mekul does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page with a new effective date.
8. Launch notification sign-up (website)
If you sign up on this website to hear when Maekgeul launches, we keep your email address and the time you signed up, only to send one launch email. We don't send marketing mail or share it. It is deleted right after the launch email, and in any case within a year; write to us to have it deleted sooner. It is stored in Cloudflare's database (D1), which hosts this site.
